Copilot vs Rocket Money
Rocket Money made its name by finding and cancelling your subscriptions for you. It's a great entry point for anyone who wants to stop bleeding money on stuff they forgot they signed up for.
But once you've gotten off the ground, how do you keep your financial life going? This is where Copilot Money comes in. This all-in-one money app automatically categorizes every transaction and brings all your accounts, spending, and net worth into a connected view, so you're always seeing the bigger picture.
Both apps automate the busywork, but Rocket Money's automation stops at your bills and subscriptions. Copilot Money automates everything after that (spending, budgeting, net worth, investments, crypto, and real estate) so every part of your financial life is accounted for, not just your bills.
How are Copilot Money and Rocket Money Different?
If what you want is help finding and cutting costs, like someone to cancel the gym membership you forgot about or call your cable company for you, Rocket Money is built for exactly that. If you want your entire budget, spending, and net worth in one connected view, Copilot Money is the better fit. It still surfaces all your recurring charges and subscriptions, but also features real-time investment, crypto, and real estate tracking. With Copilot Money, you're not giving anything up to get the bigger picture.
Rocket Money is free to start, with a Premium tier that unlocks bill negotiation, hands-off subscription cancellation, and credit score tracking. That negotiation service comes with a catch worth knowing upfront: Rocket Money takes a success-based fee if it successfully lowers a bill. Copilot Money charges one transparent subscription price, and puts its attention toward giving you a complete, real-time view of your net worth, spending, and budgets. Copilot Money users are still likely to see cost savings right away. On average, Copilot Money finds $170 in forgotten recurring charges during onboarding, with no cut taken out of what you find.

Copilot vs Mint
For a lot of people, Mint was the first time budgeting actually made sense. When Mint shut down in 2024, Intuit pointed users toward Credit Karma, which was never built to be a budgeting app the way Mint was. So a lot of that loyal user base has been looking for the right replacement since.
If you're still searching for a replacement, there's no shortage of options. But we'll say it plainly: Copilot Money is the best Mint replacement out there. We hear from a lot of former Mint users who land here and stay. As one App Store reviewer put it: "Made the jump from Mint years ago and never looked back. Run, don't walk."
Copilot Money brings your entire financial life into one app, automatically categorizes your spending to kill the busywork, and is designed to make managing money something you actually enjoy. Mint gave you a snapshot of your spending. Copilot Money gives you that same effortless view, plus automatic categorization, investment and crypto tracking, and an app that's still actively built and supported today.
Is Copilot Money a Good Mint Replacement?
Copilot Money is for former Mint users who want that same all-in-one view of spending, budgets, and net worth, but with in-depth tracking for investments, crypto, and real estate that Mint never had. If what you miss about Mint is the free price tag rather than the experience itself, that's worth knowing upfront: Copilot Money is a paid subscription, with no ads. Most Copilot Money users discover over $170 in recurring charges they forgot about, which is enough on its own to cover the cost. As one user put it: "This thing pays for itself within a month, and the peace of mind it brings me is insane."

Copilot vs YNAB
We believe that personal finance is personal. The "best" budgeting app really depends on how you like to work. Copilot Money and YNAB (“You Need A Budget”) are two of the most popular options out there, and they take genuinely different approaches to the same goal.
YNAB built a loyal following by teaching people to give every dollar a job. That zero-based, hands-on method is exactly why so many people swear by it. It works well for people who want to be closely involved in every dollar's assignment.
Copilot Money starts from a different question: what if your budget could stay accurate without you doing all that manual work? Copilot Money categorizes transactions automatically, tracks it all (spending, net worth, investments, crypto, real estate), and adapts your budget automatically as things change.
How are Copilot Money and YNAB Different?
If you want a budget that keeps up with you automatically, and you'd like your investments, crypto, and real estate in the same view as your spending, Copilot Money is the better fit. If you want a dedicated budgeting tool and you like the discipline of manually assigning every dollar, YNAB might be right for you.
YNAB's method works by having you manually assign incoming money to a category and approve each transaction yourself. Copilot Money's Intelligence engine learns your habits and categorizes new transactions automatically. With the Money Assistant feature (currently in beta), Copilot Money also watches your spending and proactively flags unusual charges, budget spikes, and chances to save, so you catch things before you'd think to look for them. If you'd rather do that work yourself by hand, YNAB is built around exactly that.
And if you like Copilot Money's automation but still want that zero-based, give-every-dollar-a-job structure, you can set it up right in Copilot Money's Categories tab. It's just optional, not the only way to budget.

A must have personal finance app
I wanted an app to track my spending, investments and overall net worth. I’ve been using it for over 2 years now and it’s life changing. The graphs and analysis are beautiful. I’m able to see exactly where all my spend is going and plan for my future. I’d recommend this app to anyone.

The Best Budgeting App!!
Copilot has been a magical experience so far. They’ve innovated the experience of budgeting - it helps keep you informed, but the right things are automatic and effortless. You can choose how manual you’d like it to be - or how much you’d like the app to do the work for you. They’ve solved most of the gaps from mint - and it’s easy to get a budget set up. PFM has been over complicated for too long but Copilot has done a great job of making it easy.

So good and waaay better than mint!
I was on mint for years, but I’m so happy I switched. Managing my finances is now fun thanks to Copilot. Amazing app and incredible support team that actually listen to their customers!

I've tried them all
The YNAB’s, the Simplifi’s, the Monarch’s. You name it, I’ve used it. So far, for me, Copilot is the everyday finance tool. I love the user interface, the functionality is superb, it connects to my accounts flawlessly and the support has been outstanding. It’s not perfect, but not a single product out there is. You’ll find some things you don’t like, but overall, this one is a keeper.

Amazing Design, Great App to Switch To
I’ve used Mint and Quicken in the past, been somewhat of a power user with Quicken. I love how friendly the iPhone and Mac apps are to use, and how much effort has been spent to get the UX to feel native and clean. They’re also really quick to roll out new features, which has been awesome to see the app getting constantly better. If you’re looking for a way to track your spending and budgeting, definitely give this app a try!
